Kevin,
The average amount of sleep for a 3 months old is around 15 hours in a 24 hour period. 8-9 hours at night is very average which leaves 6-7 hour sleep during the day. Usually at 3 months 1 1/2 to 2 hour is all a baby can be tolerated awake before it is time for another nap. Sounds like your baby girl knows exactly what she needs.
