I have a 7 week old and he also stays awake all day even though he is tired. Every time he starts to drop off to sleep during the day he fights it to stay awake, then is cranky because he is so tired. I tried the Secret of the Baby Whisperer but it didn't work for us either unfortunately. He just likes to see and do everything so I try to give him as much activity as possible during the day, and he is sleeping a lot better at nights now.
