: Like I said, swaddling didn't help us either. I think he was to used to being out everywhere. I could barely sleep with him in our bed either. I think we kept each other awake. It took a few nights, but he is definately sleeping better in his own room now. For several weeks he has been sleeping 6 to 7 hours before his nighttime bottle. Do you use a soother? Do you carry till the baby is deeply asleep? Most babies this age are to young to sooth themselves to deep sleep. We definately can't put him in bed awake. We could withour daughter at about 6 or 7 months and I think we were lucky with her even. Good luck. Write back again if you have any more questions. I never recommend people even starting out with their babies in their beds. A bassinet in your room is fine, but parents just need to sleep without worring about their babies getting squashed or rolling off the bed. Also, I believe It's momy and dady's only tme together a lot of the times. I also, feel that a baby should feel loved and secured, but should also have a little independence and learn to sleep in thier own bassinet/crib/toddler bed. I would recommend buying an arch toy, or a mobile, or fun light up toy, taht goes in or attaches to the crib, and put your baby in there for a short period to play. 15 mins even. Also let the baby nap in there. It may be a slow process, but it should work eventually. Good luck, and take care----------------------------Jamie
