TODDLER SLEEPING HABITS

I have a 2 1/2 old and he used to be a great sleeper. However, now he hates to sleep and screams bloody murder every night. Naptime is not as bad as nighttime. Help any suggestions? We have tried a routine, talks, music, reading, everything - help!
