: My daughter did something similar her first couple of weeks at daycare. I finally asked the sitter to wake her up, because it seemed to be affecting her night sleep. She was great about it, and now my daughter only takes about a 2.5-3 hour nap each morning. If you ask them to wake your baby, they should do it. It doesn't seem right that your son doesn't get fed at 10 when he wakes up!!! I would request a midmorning feeding for sure! He's crying for a reason, and I'm sure that's it!

I think that's ridiculous too!!! If he wakes up and cries there is no excuse for ignoring him-he either wants up or diaper change....some need me. Sometimes, though it is ok-if a child is sleeping a lot on their own because they are just showing that they need the sleep-follow lead of the child-but this case seems a little excessive to me! I agree talk with the advisor or move to another center!
