HI! You sound like you are going through what we are going through. Alex is 8 months old and now has SIX Teeth!! He has never been a great sleeper, due to reflux. In fact, I don't think I got more than an hour of sleep a night for 10-12 weeks. I was sleep deprived SO badly I would doze off when people were talking to me. It got much better for a few months and then started to get worse when the teething began. Not much has helped. I give him tylenol that helps a little; a bit of orajel...and also something cold to munch on-like a baby towel.

He has also slept with us off and on-he seems much more comforted and relaxed. Nursing seems to help a bit. I wouldn't worry too much about her sleeping with you off and on. My sister's kids slept with her all the time and had no problem learning to fall asleep on their own or in their own bed.

I wish I had some good advice...but, know you are not alone!

Talk to me about your teething baby. I can only assume that's what we're dealing with right now and it's utter hell. Hannah has never been a good sleeper but she generally woke up a couple of times a night. Once I helped her back down and once was for a feeding. For the last three nights she hasn't been able to stay asleep for more than an hour to an hour and 15 before she wakes up screaming bloody murder. I have been able to help her back to sleep a couple of times with the pacifier and maybe some of our herbal junk, but that lasts no more than a half hour and she's back screaming again. She's taking Motrin every night and Oragel doesn't do anything but irritate her. The only true solution that allows us to sleep is if my wife nurses her down and keeps her in bed with us. I don't like this solution and never sleep well with a little person in the bed. I just don't relax all night.

: Is this normal at all? The pediatrician said she definitely has teeth coming "soon". At the last appointment (1.5 weeks ago) he said we could see teeth as early as two weeks. So, if he's right we should be reaching that time soon.
