: What IS neocate?

Neocate is a special formula for milk/soy/protein intolent kids. It is amino acid based formula so the gut doesn't have to work to break it down. It is VERY expensive and unless it's being fed thru a tube, no insurance company covers it as it is considered food. The cheapest place you can find it is thru the manufacturer SHS International at $28.75/can. Most people buy in quantity (doesn't save money, just easier) and when their kids dont need it anymore they post it for sale at a very discounted price.
