: If your child seems uncomfortable, don't let your pediatrician brush you off. I have gotten many brush offs on issues that were important enough to warrant attention. Alexandra also was gaining weight. But she was NOT comfortable - she was, in fact, protein intollerant. And misserable. I had to push and push and educate myself and push some more.

: Good Luck!

Thanks Marybeth. Sometimes he smiles while he is spitting up, sometimes he gets whiny as it is about to come out so I can't figure it out. Sometimes the spitting up comes as he is pushing to have a BM. Typically, if he can stay still in my arms for about 1/2 hour following a feeding upright or in a baby seat of sorts, we'll have a relatively dry burp cloth. It's more often if he is wiggling around afterwards and played with, changed, etc. I'll call again tomorrow and talk to the doc or a nurse. I guess sometimes I think I'm just be a worrywart. Welcome to Parenthood..sigh~~~~~ :)
