My mom went through that with me, I don't know how old I was, but she just put me in my room with a gate across my door and let me play. She went back to bed. It was before my brother was born so I was under 3. It was only for a little while, she was able to sleep and I was happy, she usuall found me asleep on the floor the next morning. =) I have always been a night owl
