I'm butting in too...

Tracy, what was your son's diagnosis when you put him on Neocate? Was he Milk Soy Protein Intollerant? If so, and he hasn't outgrown the Milk Protein intollerance, chances are he hasn't outgrown the Soy Protein intollerance either.

Neocate makes a +1 formula. Lots of kids don't outgrow their food intollerances until 2 - 3 years of age. It's appropriate and good to re-challenge at one year of age, but if he's not reacting well, it's also ok not to push or force it, and to hang in there with Neocate or a similar protein free formula for another 3-6 months and then re-challenge again.

And it's ok to tell your GI that you're not getting good results and you don't feel comfortable trying again for a while. Remember, YOU PAY HER/HIM and YOU ARE THE MOMMA.

Good Luck!
