There is soy oil in Neocate, too (Alex's formula), and she doesn't have a problem with it. It's soy proteins that she can't do. And, for some reason, the Gerber rice cereal really bothered her (I think it only has soy oil, but I can't remember). Anyway, maybe read your label again for what type of soy ingredients the cereal contains (or if there is whey or casine or the like), and that might give you a clue.

But, I agree with Debbie - Rice is a low allergen,
but very bulky and can cause constipation and be hard to digest. I also switched Alex to oatmeal a few weeks ago, just to give it a try (an orgainic, all natural one with no soy ingredients). No tummy issues. But, on top of all of the limitations imposed by food intollerances, Alex is a very picky eater. Hopefully she will outgrow it all sooner or later. In the meantime, I try not to stress about it.

I'll look to see if I can find a baby cereal recipe or two for you, and will post if I do. Do you have a natural / organic foods market near where you live?
