Steve, I'm glad to see a positive post from you that had nothing to do with sleeping. These are the moments to cherish. These are the one's you'll remember in years to come. I like the idea of printing this to save for a later date. It would be something I think your daughter would love to read when she has one of her own. No sleep stinks, and there's a reason why I call those first 8 weeks the guantlet, and the remaining 10 months the tribulation. But remember, there comes a point where all these difficulties are just a blur. Just wait until she says your name, or talks about something that you and she did last week... then, increase that feeling exponentially for each month that has passed and yet she still remembers. I LOVE it when my son talks about something we did a year ago. It never fails to amaze me how much he recalls. And I thank God he doesn't remember any of the "oops words" that may have slipped out when I dropped a dish, or burned dinner (again), etc. A good moment came for me last night. I got home from an out-of-town trip and gave my son a toy. He saw took it and said, with an amazed tone, "Oh! It's just what I wanted!! Thank you!" This, coming from the mouth of a 3 year old, is truly heartwarming. And just think... all this cool stuff is still to come for you! All the best to you and yours.
