Try touching tip of his nose, or moving his arm when he falls asleep. Both things worked very well for us.

: My son is 5 days old and is a very sleepy nurser. I try everything to keep him awake when he's eating and nothing works. My milk came in and I am so full and I am pumping too but I've got to keep him awake so he can eat more. Any advice.
