Thanks Aimee!! : I was also worried about this for the longest time. But you really shouldn't. Your baby is growing a lot right now. He needs his rest. (I'm telling you what everyone told me, and what I am beginning to notice in the last month or so.) : My son is 4.5 months old and he still takes a nap every 1.5-2 hours. In the morning he goes 1.5 and in the afternoon he goes 2 hours. He also goes to bed at 7 in the evening (I wake him between 9 and 10 for a late feeding) and he sleeps until 5:30 when I wake him for morning breakfast. So just b/c he takes a lot of naps doesn't mean he won't sleep at night. In fact, regular naps improve nighttime sleeping. : Out of curiosity, is your baby sleeping through the night yet? Or most of the night? : Aimee : : : thanks!!!

to answer your question, we actually put him down after his last feeding at 10pm and up until the last 2 nights he usually will sleep until around 3-4am..these last 2 nights he has actually slept until around 6:30-7:00am..which is our usual waketime to begin our morning.
: Hi!
: : hi all,
: : just curious - when did your children begin to be more alert or awake during the daytime hours? my 9week old is still resisting his awake time during the day. i have tried (what i think) is everything..we read, we look out the windows, we have tummy-time, we watch the babyeinstein videos etc... but i can't seem to keep him awake for more that an about 1.5 hrs after he eats...but that is only because i am pestering him to death!!! if i go to run errands or go to the mall, forget it- he is out like a light in the car and in the stroller. (he does sleep well at night..getting up only once around 3-4am and for the past 2 nights slept from 10pm-7am)
: : i guess i am just wondering when he will begin to be curious enough discover the world on his own? (does that make any sense?)
