IHAD MY BABY SEVEN WEEKS EARLY AND SHE WEIGHED FIVE POUNDS AND NINE OUNCES AND IS NOW THREE AND A HALF MONTHS OLD AND WEIGH'S 14 POUNDS AND MY PEDIATRITION IS TICKLED TO DEATH. SO MANY PEOPLE THESE DAY'S ARE SO CONSUMED WITH WEIGHT, I AM SURE YOUR PEDIATRITION IS PERFECT, HA HA. YOU KNOW IF YOUR BABY IS HEALTHY OR NOT, USE YOUR JUDGEMENT, A MOTHER KNOW'S WHAT IS BEST FOR THEIR CHILD. : : It seems odd that your doctor would think your baby is overweight. My son is 4 months old and last week weighed in at the pediatricians office at 17 lb 10 oz and 26 inches long. My pediatrician was happy with his weight gain and actually went on to say when explaining percentiles in the growth chart that Matthew was NOT overweight ! Your baby isn't that much larger than Matthew - I'm not a doctor but I would get a second opinion. I know i didn't answer your question but I just wanted to let you know what the specialist said about our son in relation to your babies weight.
