Does he have a fever at all? If so, you need to take him to the doctors ASAP. Babies that young can not regulate their temperature and need medical attention for a fever right away no matter how high it is. If he does not have a fever, you can try some saline nasal drops...2 or 3 in each nostril, and then use a bulb syringe to suck out his nose. That should help with his congestion for tonight/today. You could also put a cool mist humidifier in his room also, to add moisture to the air and help him breathe. If you dont have saline nasal drops, you can make them yourself using salt and warm water. As for the gas, it probably is not related. (Actually it could be, as congestion and gas are signs of food intollerence, but I'm going under the pretense that he has a cold....is anyone else in the house sick...did he just start with this?) You can give him Mylicon gas drops, some say they work, or you can try and lay him on his belly on your knees and rub his back or bicycle his legs so he "lets some out". This should get you thru the night. I would take him to the dr.'s tomorrow. Post back and let us know how you're making out. Debbie
