: The list of the things that could cause this is very long. For the five months I was breastfeeding and after I cut our everything I heard about, my baby still had troubles with gas. : But the thing that she hated the most was chocolate! The smallest amount would make her scream for hours! Second worst was onion, even onion powder...... : Let us know if you discover what it was. : My son gets fussy too when I eat chocolate. Figures! At first I thought it was dairy, so I cut it out for 2 weeks and slowly introduced it again. I then realized it was chocolate. I cut that out and he's been a lot better. I also use Mylicon drops at night and that does seem to help too. I think every baby is different and it's just a trial and error thing. Try keeping a food diary so you can see if there's certain foods that trigger more fussiness. Good luck.

: Mylecon dropps helped us a lot, or putting a little bit of baby oil and massaging her stomack....
: Good luck
: : My newborn is on breastmilk and has been incredibly fussy today. He seems to have gas and looks like he's going to scream but then passes it. I have been trying to eat benign foods but maybe it's something I ate unknowing it would bother him. Could someone give me the lowdown on what I should and shouldn't eat. Thanks, Sue
