Experience with Neocate One+

Our 2 1/2 year old son was just put on a protein (soy and milk) free diet and it was recommended that we feed him Neocate One+ formula on the order of 200g a day. Mixed with water, this is about a quart. This seems excessive to me and I'd be interested in hearing experiences with dosages recommended to others. We are also feeding him real food (omitting anything that has milk or soy protein - but meat is okay).

Notwithstanding the foul aftertaste (very bitter - I'd be interested in experiences the flavor packets also) I don't think even a quart of regular milk a day was ever considered normal for a kid this age.

Any information would be appreciated.
