I have a 18-day old baby and his umbilical cord stump just fell out a couple of days ago. When it did, it bleeded a little bit. The ped told us to apply a saline solution to help stop the bleeding. However, we are still finding some dry blood on the belly button whenever we change him. Did anyone else go through this? Is there anything else we can do to speed up the healing?
