My son was on neosure- mixed with expressed breastmilk- due to lack of growth. I mixed the neosure in the BM from 2 months- 9 months. After no real growth, I stopped pumping and gave extra strong similac (28 cal/oz) and he seemed to "take off." My friend gave birth prematurely and gave neosure to her daughter for 1 full year. After that she was on regular strength formula- she was growing well. To help with expenses- be sure to enroll you (and your parents/friends) in the similac baby club (call similac or enroll on-line). They'll send you formula checks to use on any kind of similac. Also- at my drs office, they have similac (any kind) coupons sitting at the check-out desk. The checks and coupons can be used TOGETHER. Yes- the stuff is SOOOOOOO expensive. Many blessings!!!
