Hi Gloria, I'm not sure that this will help or not. I have 2 "non sleepers", day or night, but from what I've been told by others (my friends and sisters) and from what I've read, often newborns have their days and nights mixed up. When he was inside of you most likely he slept during the day from the movement of your body, then at night was probably more awake (or might have seemed like it to you, ie. moving and kicking), but from what I understand, eventually, they get on track......barring other sleep issues!! This is just my thought since he does sleep all day long. It's really hard to keep a baby awake when they want to sleep..have you tried tapping the bottoms of his feet?
