Totally normal. The formula is predigested and most of it is absorbed thru the stomach, ie. nothing to digest, nothing to poop. Also, what little there is to digest takes much longer to move thru the intestines, a second factor in causing constipation. When he does go, it will probably be dark green to black. My son used to go for 5+ days....ask your pediatrician about a sugar and water based benign laxative called Lactulose...it's non addictive can be given daily and you can titer it up to what he needs. Hope this helps.
