skin rash

Matthew has developed a pretty ugly skin rash all over his chest and up his neck. It looks like excema to me. I haven't changed any soaps, in fact I use a special no scent soap in the bath because of allergies etc. I haven't changed detergents in the wash, do you think it could be something I've eaten thats causing it? I can't really think of anything different I've eaten recently that would trigger it. Any suggestions on what I can do to help get rid of it.
His skin is a little more dry than usual, which I just put down to the cold weather. Any one else having the same problem? and any suggestions would be helpfull.
