I would offer him formula first but them let him eat as much as he wants (solids). If you are concerned that he might not be getting enough iron you can mix his fruits or veggies with cereal and formula as well, but 24 oz of formula per a day is fine. And as far as prefering solids over formula, most babies go through that. It will change eventualy and he will like it again. I think that we should let them as much as they want, they know when to stop. Hana is almost 8 months old now and we still mix everything with formula and cereal. We offer her formula first (she takes around 2 oz) and then solids afterwards. She is not big eater but doing very well. Take care Mia : Here I am with another question.... I am not sure if I am feeding Brayden enough. I started solid foods about 4.5 months. I fed him cereal in the am for about 2 weeks until I introduced sweet potatoes to him. Now he eats in the am and pm. I was giving him about a teaspoon and a half but he wanted more. We jumped right to a tablespoon and now he eats a tablespoon plus some. He doesn't like his bottle anymore when he expects food. It's a hassle to give him 3 oz (which I get him to eat before the solid foods). He usually eats 6 oz. of formula 3 times a day and, 3 oz of formula 2 times a day with the solids. (24 oz of formula day) He wants to eat more solid food but I stop at about a tablespoon and a half b/c I think it might be too much. What does everyone else feed their babies? : Thanks for your help everyone!!
