Since the birth of my son 6 month's ago, I have wondered about the weight gain from either of these feeding sources.

I know my son's is a little different as he had major gas pains and throw ups that he was very slow to begin with.\

But my observsartion is: do breast fed babies put on the weight faster, and therefore have stronger musculature then bottle fed.

My son did not hold up his head until he was 4 month's old. This was partly our fault as he would always throw up when put on his stomach.

Also, when did anyone who bottle fed , start their babies on solid food. John, did not show any interest until he was close to 6 month's and even now seems to take it or leave it.

Final question, could someone really let me know how to set up a schedule to feed these solids? Before John got sick, I would give him cereal, and a vegetable to try for a couple of days, and onto the next, but was I only to do rice, then oatmeal, then barley, then wheat, then veggies, then fruit?
