Lisa~
I went through the same thing--still do sometimes. I might be exhausted when I go to bed and then at 2 or 3 all of a sudden I'm wide awake. If you can't get back to sleep within 30 minutes it's best to get up and move around. Also, my doctor told me to drink a glass of warm milk. He spouted off the mumbo jumbo about what is in milk that makes the body tired, but I can't remember what enzymes do what. Anyway, it's worth a shot. Sometimes I watch TV or something while I'm getting tired again and then I finally go back to bed once I'm ready to drift off to sleep again. But the wait is awful.
On the sinus infection I only have one "natural" suggestion. I came down with something around my 5th week of pregnancy and I was miserable. I got a small glass of warm water, poured some salt in it, and filled a syringe with it (no needle, obviously). Then you have to flood your nose with it. You shoot it back and it needs to actually reach your sinuses. It's SO not comfortable!!!! However, it really does clean out your sinuses. It's the same thing as buying salene solution and shooting it up there--it's just much cheaper and there are no added ingredients. I checked with my pharmacist, just to be sure, and she said it's a great remedy and it's the same as buying the nose salene.
Good luck and I really hope you get to feeling better!!!!
