We had names picked out before I got pregnant. We decided that now we don't like the name we had for a boy but still like the name Chartruece (shar-truce), but there's some things we DONT like about it. First off it's a color that a year ago no one had heard of and just this spring it was declared "the hottest spring color" in a few magazines. We don't want a little girl to be thought of as a color. Do you think it'll fade back into nothing again before she starts school? Or will it bring up some poking-fun when she does? I remember this poor kid named Silver at our school that everyone called Crayon or Gold. Kids can be mean. Also we do not like the nickname Char and are afraid that will become her nickname. We can't think of any given nicknames that we could give her. Any suggestions? Given all the problems the name brings, I'm thinking maybe we should pick a different name? What do you think?
