Hi Amber, I use the Clearplan monitor. It is great. It not only measures your LH surge like ovulation predictor kits (opk's), but it also measures your estrogen levels. It gives you fertility status of low, high and peak. I always get 2 peak days each month and those are the prime fertility days to conceive. I would first try the opk's you get at the store and would only buy First Response...the generic brands have given false +'s. How long are your cycles? I can tell you when to start testing depending upon that. If they are totally irregular, I would start testing on cd10. In case you don't know, CD1 is the first day of your period (red normal flow). I would really try that first before the monitor.
