how crampy is too crampy?

Today I've been so crampy and now I'm getting paranoid about it. I've been crampy since a few weeks ago and that's normal and all but today was noticably worse. I havn't had any spotting and my doc aptmt yesturday they heard the heartbeat on the doppler and it was a good pace and all.....am I worrying for no reason?
