Dear Friends~
I appreciate your comments so much from yesterday regarding my dog. Last evening I took her for a short walk and after climbing the flights of stairs to our 3rd floor, she collapsed on the floor, unable to get up. She started yelping and whining--I was so scared. I just collapsed with her and lay there petting her soft fur and telling her it was going to be okay. She was having difficulty breathing. She has these little breathing spasms sometimes, but she couldn't seem to stop having them while we lay there looking at each other. I tell you what, I was so scared. I don't look forward to ever losing her, but this would be a really bad time with my emotions the way they are.
After several minutes of just relaxing with her she slowly crawled to her feet and went to lay down or get her snack (she always gets a snack when we return from her walk). She seems to be doing better today and I haven't seen her fall down even once. Nevertheless, she's very tired and probably still responding to all of the injections from yesterday.
DH went out on our balcony to get rid of the nest of yellow jackets today. He sprayed down two and then went out later and ran into a 3rd one which had him being chased down by them. In the short time he was out there he killed over 30 yellow jackets. They keep showing up, though. I'm going to stay indoors for the next day or so--or at least until I think they are all gone. They seem to like all my plants out there, for some reason. Grrrrr!
Well, anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for your concern. You are a sweet, sweet bunch! I'm sure I'll see you all later this week--I'll be on every once in a while, although, I have a lot of work to do, a well.
