It really is up to you,but there is also no guarantee that if you started ttc you would get pregnant right away.
My four children are 3-4 years apart and I didn't plan it that way.That's just how the Lord planned it.We did not ever use birth control until my DH had a vasectomy 5 years ago.We had that reversed in Oct. of last year and I am now 13 weeks along.
I sometimes wish they were closer in age,but they all get along very well as is.
My sister and I are just 14 months apart and she has always been my best friend.
My sister has two children 15 months apart and she loved it that they were that close in age.She says for the oldest it was like he was never the only one.His sister came along when he was 15 months old so he doesn't remember her not always being there.
I seem to always have to go through a few days of mommy rejection when I bring a new baby home and replace the one who has been the baby for the last 3 or 4 years.Always breaks my heart.
Sorry if this has gotten to long.Everyone probably has pros and cons to why they should or shoudn't be close in age.In the end only you and your DH can decide what's best for your family,and I really don't think it is harmful to the children if they are close in age.
