Sarah,
Cramping is totally normal. The doctor said that in the first trimester your body is trying to start your period and yet your ovaries are telling it that you're pregnant so they have to battle it out. I was only told to worry if there was bleeding with terribly painful cramping. Even then it does not always mean you are miscarrying. From what I understand miscarriage is not affected whether or not it runs in your family. We don't know why many miscarriages happen so there's not much we can do to prevent them other than eating healthy and taking care of ourselves. I totally understand the worry because I couldn't wait until week 14, too. It felt like it took FOREVER to get there. Then I relaxed a bit about miscarriage and found something else to worry over such as parenting and delivery, etc.
Enjoy your next 32 weeks. It'll go by so quickly!
Tight hugs,
~Teacher
