I seem to remember being hungrier during the end of my 2nd trimester and even at the very first of my 3rd (around weeks 28-30). However, I'm now at 32 weeks and 3 days and I forget to eat all the time. I was having to eat whatever I could as I seem more indecisive now than I was in my 1st trimester.
I'm home from work for the next two weeks and I'm getting into a routine of cooking a real meal with plenty of meat and veggies. I haven't been able to eat chicken during my pregnancy so I've loved red meats--and they provide plenty of iron and protein which your body really needs for your drastically growing baby at the end. This week I made a pot roast with veggies (which has lasted almost 3 days) and for tonight I'm cooking meatloaf with grilled vegetable swewers. I only mention this because I had to plan out my whole grocery list this week around what healthy foods I PLANNED to eat. Eating a balanced meal will most likely keep you from being overly hungry--you'll just eat a little of it here and a little of it there. Sometimes I don't eat at the same time that dh does--I might eat an hour before he does and then an hour after he eats. I know he doesn't like that we don't always eat together, but my tummy is on its own time schedule.
Anyway, I hope this post helps in some way. Don't forget to take your prenatals--my friend just found a page-wide medical advertisement in pregnancy magazine saying "WOMEN IN YOUR THIRD TRIMESTER--PLEASE KEEP TAKING YOUR PRENATAL VITAMINS ALL THAT WAY FROM NOW UNTIL THE END". I was surprised to hear that because I thought they were most important in the beginning so I make sure every morning to take mine with a full glass of water at least an hour before I eat something.
