I TOTALLY agree! It takes discipline to do, but I'm so glad I do it.
I love writing in mine. As I've shared on here before, I write at least once a week and sometimes more. I write exact dates of when something happened and how I'm feeling and things that her daddy did and said while feeling my tummy. I even write in there about her uncles and aunts and grandparents and what they say--what they've bought for her, etc. I bought 4 identical journals just like this one just because we hope to be able to have 4 children someday. They are gorgeous journals--I got mine at Barnes & Noble and they are called "I Hope You Dance" with a little spot to put your child's picture. The journal is big enough to write through their newborn months, as well--possibly even longer if you don't get too lengthy with each section.
Anyway, it's been a special journal to write in (I keep it by my bed so that I don't forget to write) and I hope our daughter will love reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing in it. My mother was an incredible writer. She's saved everything she wrote from when I was a baby--even notes to my grandmother when she would have to watch me from time to time--they are SO detailed going from 30 minute intervals and what I might do and what that means I need, etc. Then all of the family have given her letters back to put with my baby book. All of her letters tell of specific things that happened--things that she probably didn't even record in her personal journal writings. I love having it. I hope I'm half as good at keeping records as she was!
