I'm 7 weeks pregnant and about now is when i'd get my period but i'm having cramps

Is having cramps normal around the time of your period? It's like my body wants to have a period,and it can't.Last month I had a light period with no signs(and normally i have lots of signs like breaking out/cramps) so I was just wondering what this is? I have no bleeding by the way.
