Unplesant question about discharge

Ok, I'm just going to be blunt.

I am 34 weeks and three days, and I noticed twice today a little bit of brown when I wiped after peeing. Could this be discharge or just something left over from my morning bowel movement? How can I tell the difference?

The general oppinion is that I won't be going to 40 weeks. I havn't had my first internal yet, but my primary care doctor, and a friend who is a midwife have both told me to look out for early labor symptoms. (The baby's head is way down pushing on my cervix, and I'm really big!)

Should I call my OB about this?
