I have mine next week. My doctor said I can have a piece of toast, but no sugar. I am still going to call the lab just to make sure. I think they make you drink a very sweet soda like substance, wait an hour, and then check you for diabetes. If you pass all is fine, if not you have to take a 3 hour test. If you fail that one you have gestational diabetes.
