HCG Quantitive Test

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Hcg levels and what the numbers mean? I have had the test done due to complications and my #'s went from 9000 to 7000 in just under 48 hours but was wondering if these #'s are normal for only being 6 weeks or could I possibly have been carrying two and only lost one? I have an appointment with the Dr on Moday but was just wondering if anyone here might have some answers or knows of a site where I might check it out?
