I didn't even consider co-sleeping but that was just my personal choice! I think there are mum's out there that co-sleep and are doing fine, I would personally be too scared of hurting the baby.
When I had my girl we purchased a bassinet also and then after she turned 6 weeks we put her in her crib. That was my husband's choice not mine. Since I tend to sleep wildly I didn't want the risk of hurting my baby by having her in bed with me.
