I had the same worry when I thought I might be pregnant. My doctor told me that it was the ligaments stretching to support my growing uterus. Turns out I was 4.5 weeks pregnant. If you feel like it needs medical attention, please get it. Also, buy the book "What to Expect when you are Expecting" - it starts with preconception and tells you what symptoms are normal and which ones need attention.
